What could be cooler than a farmers' market? Shreveport-Bossier has several to choose from:
- Shreveport Farmers' Market is every Saturday morning through August 29 and every Tuesday afternoon through July 14. On market Saturdays, stroll over to the Red River District for the Shreveport Artists' Market.
- Benton Farmers' Market is every Sunday afternoon through July 26.
- Mall St. Vincent's South Highland Summer Market is every Friday evening through July 24.

Thrill to live thoroughbred racing at Harrah's Louisiana Downs now through Saturday, Sept. 19.

In honor of the United States military, KTBS-3 Independence Day Festival features food, music, fireworks and fun for the whole community in downtown Shreveport Saturday, July 4.

The legendary Bob Newhart brings his comedic style to the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Riverdome on July 11.

Thunder Road Raceway Park will host a fireworks show Saturday, July 11 for a Night of Fire, re-lit with jet dragsters, jet funny cars that have flames more than 100 feet long, and a wheelstander.

Hypnaughty Gone Wild with Thom Kaz returns to Margaritaville Resort Casino July 30-August 1.

The Shreveport Geek'd Convention, August 21-23, features national headliners including comic book artists, stars of TV, film, and professional cos play groups. Geek’d Convention will also host a full scale cos play competition.
