Forward Wilson’s Steak and Seafood Continues a Fried Seafood Tradition

Located on the banks of Lake Bistineau, Wilson’s Steak and Seafood is a wonderfully old-school fried seafood restaurant serving heaping platters of golden fried catfish, shrimp and frog legs, as well as ribeye steaks and more. The restaurant sits at the end of a gravel drive at 630 Horseshoe Bend Road in Doyline, set back about 100 yards from the lake. An enormous patio deck offers a fantastic view of Lake Bistineau’s moss-draped cypress trees.

Guests who order seafood platters – lots of combinations are available, including outstanding fried shrimp and catfish served whole or filleted – can help themselves to an all-you-can-eat buffet of side items and garnishes designed to complement a fried seafood feast. The buffet includes hush puppies, bean soup, pickled green tomatoes, coleslaw and more. Read the full review here
