Day 1

Backstage Music Tour at the Municipal
Learn the stories and hear the songs of the many stars that have graced the stage. Walk in the footsteps of music legends and make your own debut when you get the chance to stand on the stage where idols like Elvis Presley and James Burton have performed. Tours include a surprise musical performance that brings the stage and venue to life.


Multicultural Center of the South
Colorful exhibits of authentic art, crafts, furniture, and artifacts of African, Mexican, Native American, Greek, Scottish, Asian, Indian, and other cultures of Shreveport-Bossier, North Louisiana, and the South.

Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras Museum
Enjoy a fascinating display of the history of Mardi Gras in Shreveport and Bossier City.  Exhibits include floats, Mardi Gras royalty costumes, and all the trappings of Mardi Gras festivities.

Louisiana State Exhibit Museum
A Smithsonian-affiliate museum. Highlights include 18 world-renowned dioramas, rotating exhibits, large murals of Louisiana scenes, and an extensive Indian Gallery.

Spirit of the Red Cruise
The Spirit of the Red offers an enchanting tour of the Red River and Cross Bayou. The tour will provide history about the logging industry, which dominated the Red River in the 1800s, as well as the history of Shreveport-Bossier, the bridges of the Ark-La-Tex and wildlife habitats along both of these scenic bodies of water

Barksdale Global Power Museum
A historic journey from World War I to present. Features uniforms, dioramas, a barracks exhibit dating back to World War II. Twenty-five aircraft and vehicles are on display.
