The objective of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau is to positively impact the economy of our area through the promotion of Shreveport-Bossier as a destination for overnight visitors. The bureau staff and the local hospitality industry are in partnership to accomplish this purpose. Our marketing partners include businesses and organizations who have invested in the success of Shreveport-Bossier as a convention and tourism destination by participating in cooperative marketing.

Product Development
The SBCTB seeks out opportunities to help local hospitality partners grow and prosper. We are currently partnered with Joe Veneto, aka "The Opportunity Guy," for the 2015 Experiential Tourism Project. The project is a six-month long program designed to engineer new group offerings and transform visitor experiences in Shreveport-Bossier. Veneto is an expert in working with attractions to script, stage and sell unforgettable group experiences.

Shreveport-Bossier hospitality industry attractions selected to work with Veneto in the 2015 Experiential Tourism Project will participate in a visit to the Experience Lab in Minneapolis and six months of hands-on assistance to engineer new group offerings. The program is sponsored by the bureau, May – November 2015.

Printed guides
The SBCTB produces a number of printed guides to promote local hotels, attractions, restaurants and events. These include the Visitor Guide, the Travel Planner, Quarterly Calendar of Events and more. The Visitor Guide accepts advertising from our hospitality industry partners.

Lead Management
The bureau subscribes to Simpleview, a CRM and sales lead management database that allows you to quickly and easily respond to our sales leads. Cooperative advertising
The bureau offers cooperative advertising at a reduced rate to qualified tourism-related entities.

Educatonal Seminars
The bureau provides training on a variety of topics including social media, grant-writing, developing a marketing plan, experiential tourism and more.

The bureau encourages referrals between our partner businesses and sponsors networking events to help accomplish this purpose.
