We will not share your information with anyone without your permission. This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau as it relates to www.Shreveport-Bossier.org and www.sbctb.org.

Information Collection and Use
The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. It will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau collects information from users at several different points on the website.

Registration
In order to use parts of this website, a user must first complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact the user about the services on the site that they have an express interest in. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information (such as income level and gender), and unique identifiers (such as birth date), but encouraged so the Tourist Bureau can provide a more personalized experience on the site.

Order
Information is requested from the user on the visitor information order form. Here a user must provide contact information like name, phone number and mailing address. This information is used to fill a customer's order. If there is trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on the site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on the site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on the site. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use the site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some areas of the site. For example, the user may not be able to participate in any of the sweepstakes, contests or monthly drawings that take place. Cookies can also enable the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to track and target the interests of users to enhance the experience on the site.

Established registrants will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of registrants, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau gives the option to not receive these types of communications. Please see the choice and opt-out below.

Site and Service Updates
The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau also sends the registrants site and service announcement updates. Registrants are not able to unsubscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau communicates with the user to provide requested services and in regard to issues relating to their account via email, postal mail or phone.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a registrant's personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a registrant no longer desires service, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that registrant's personal data provided to it. Choice/Opt-in
The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau registrants are given the opportunity to 'opt-in' to having their information used for purposes not directly related to the site at the point where the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau asks for the information. For example, a visitor guide survey form has an 'opt-in' mechanism so registrants who complete a form on the site, but don't want any marketing material, can keep their email address off of the lists. You may also choose to receive promotional messages from Shreveport-Bossier industry partners. Your information will be shared with industry partners only if you have opted to receive those messages. Once you have opted in to receive partners' promotional messages, you must opt out with each partner who sends you promotional messages.

Notification of Changes
If the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau decides to change its privacy policy, it will post those changes on the website so its users are always aware of what information it collects, how it will be used, and under what circumstances, if any, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau discloses it.
