staples like Christmas in Roseland
, "The Nutcracker" annual performance, and the Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival
, there are other
events that have visitors and residents excited about cooler weather including Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center's Make-and-Take Toy
Workshops, Barnwell Garden and Art Center's laser light shows, and Les Boutique de Noël shopping for a cause. Click here

Old school R&B band Lake Side to play at Shreveport Classic and State Fair
This fall Shreveport-Bossier is all about the pig skin, festivals and a good time. The last weekend in October is bursting with events,
football and "A Fair to Remember". The State Fair of Louisiana opens its gates at the state Fairgrounds Field, Thursday, Oct. 27- Sunday, Nov. 13.
This American tradition is fun for the entire family and let's face it, it's a great excuse to enjoy the most sinful food-on-a-stick guilt free.
This year during the State Fair, the Shreveport Classic is returning to the sister cities with Prairie View A&M panthers taking on the Jackson
State University tigers at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29. This matchup is expected to be a big one as it returns to Independence Stadium. A
ticket to the game also gets tailgaters into the Fair and a post-game celebratory concert featuring old school R&B band Lakeside.
to watch one of their performances.
