Caddo Lake is a 25,400-acre lake and wetland located on the border between Texas and Louisiana. It is an internationally protected wetland under the RAMSAR treaty and is the largest natural fresh water lake in the South.
The Red River joins the cities of Shreveport and Bossier City. The river offers an abundance of recreation including fishing, tubing, skiing, boating and more.
Hundreds of pleasure boaters enjoy the waters of the Red River made accessible by the navigation project. Pleasure craft can be locked through to the different pools, free of charge.
