Shreveport-Bossier's spring festival season is underway, with fun and family-friendly events planned for every weekend in March and April. The Seventh Annual Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators will be held on Saturday, March 23, offering gumbo fanatics the opportunity to compete for cash prizes while sampling dozens of delicious gumbos prepared by local chefs. R.W. Norton Art Gallery’s BLOOM Festival, timed to coincide with the blooming of more than 15,000 azalea bushes on the grounds of R.W. Norton Art Gallery, will also take place on March 23.
Crawfest, a live music and boiled crawfish festival held in Betty Virginia Park, will expand to two days in 2019, March 22-23. Artini, an annual fundraiser hosted by the Bossier Arts Council featuring creative martinis prepared by Shreveport-Bossier’s top bartenders, will return on March 30. ASEANA Spring Festival, a biannual celebration of Asian music, food and culture will also be held on March 30. See a complete list of March festivals here.
