This year everyone’s favorite events like Rockets Over the Red Fireworks Festival and Christmas in Roseland are returning to Shreveport-Bossier, but equally exciting are the addition of three new events. FriendsWithYou Rainbow City Festival, Sno-Port and Le Marché de Noel are all events that you and your family won’t want to miss out on

1. FriendsWithYou Rainbow City Festival

From Nov. 2-Dec. 8, visit the FriendsWithYou Rainbow City Festival art installation in the new Caddo Common Park. Attendees will be able to walk around 35 colorful, air-filled sculptures. These 50-feet-tall sculptures make the perfect background for holiday family photos. Throughout the six weeks Rainbow City is in Shreveport, there will be special events such as Healthy Wednesdays, brunch experiences and after hours events with live music. Rainbow City is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is free, with special events priced separately.

2. Le Marché de Noel

From Nov. 29-Dec. 22, Le Marché de Noel is bringing the joy of European Christmas markets to Shreveport-Bossier behind the Shreveport Aquarium. Inspired by German Christkindlemarkets, this enchanting open-air Christmas market offers a whimsical shopping experience. Shop for handmade gifts, taste local food, sip on warm drinks, and enjoy live entertainment on the banks of the Red River. Le Marché de Noel is open from 5-9 p.m., Fridays and 12-9 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free.

3. Sno-Port at Sci-Port Discovery Center

From Nov. 30-Jan. 30, experience a variety of winter-themed interactive games at Sno-Port at Sci-Port Discovery Center. Learn the science behind snowflakes and other winter phenomena through eight new hands-on activities. Then head to the Planetarium to climb aboard the Red River Rocket sleigh to take an interactive virtual reality ride through a snow blizzard. Sci-Port Discovery Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday; and 12-5 p.m., Sunday. Admission is $5 for children and $12 for adults.
