Prize Fest: A Celebration of Creativity and Opportunity
Prize Fest is a creative competition and festival that offers aspiring filmmakers, musicians, culinary artists, fashion designers, and standup comedians the opportunity to win over $100,000 in cash and prizes, network with industry professionals, and elevate their careers.
The twelfth annual Prize Fest will be held October 13-22, 2023, in downtown Shreveport and is open to creatives worldwide. The festival will feature the finals of all five creative competitions: Film Prize, Food Prize, Music Prize, Fashion Prize, and Comedy Prize.
Film Prize | Oct 19-21
The Film Prize is the festival's most well-known competition and is one of the world's most prestigious short film festivals. Contestants submit 5-15 minute short films that must film in Louisiana. The Top 20 finalists will be invited to Shreveport to experience Film Prize in person. Each finalist will receive $250, access to Mentor Judges, and more. The winner of the Film Prize will receive up to $50,000 cash, a screening of their film on Saturday, October 19-21, 2023 at the Tribeca Film Festival, and an opportunity to meet with industry professionals.
Food Prize | Oct 20
Regional chefs cook to impress the Society of the Golden Fork to earn one of five finalist spots to work with national chefs and win a piece of $5,000 cash. The Society of the Golden Fork is a dinner series featuring six (6) chefs per the Spring and Summer sessions. Society Members attend the dinners and score each of the chefs. Based on the scores of Society members, two chefs each from the Spring and Summer Sessions will advance to the Food Prize Finals. The general public will vote for a fifth chef by public vote on prizefest.com. Each of the five Finalist Chefs will partner with a National Celebrity Chef. The chef teams will compete at Come and Get It! during Prize Fest on Friday, October 20, 2023. A panel of judges will choose the Grand Prize Winner.
Music Prize | Oct 13-14
The Music Prize is a competition for aspiring musicians. The Top 10 finalists are seven bands chosen by music industry professionals and three bands chosen by an online audience vote – that's YOU! The finalists will be invited to Shreveport, Louisiana, to leave it all on the stage in the Music Prize Finals on October 13-14. The Music Prize winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize. In addition to the competition, the finalists will attend the MPCon conference and meet with industry professionals.

In addition to the Film Prize, Food Prize, and Music Prize, Prize Fest also offers prizes in the following categories:
- Fashion Design Prize on Sunday, October 15: $5,000 cash prize
- Standup Comedy Prize on Saturday, October 21: $2,500 cash prize
