Company's Coming Clean-Up Campaign

Be a part of the Shreveport-Bossier hospitality industry's effort to clean up Shreveport and Bossier City.

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and Shreveport Green have partnered on a new litter abatement projected called Company’s Coming.

The idea behind this project is to make Shreveport-Bossier a clean, safe and inviting place for visitors who travel here from the Ark-La-Tex region, nation and abroad. The organizations will offer quarterly trash pick-ups. Prizes will be given to staff and companies throughout the year for participating. Register using the form below.

This is extremely important because trash affects a company’s bottom line. More trash means fewer visitors and fewer dollars spent in hotels, attractions, restaurants and other places frequented by out-of-town guests. This issue is so important that Shreveport and Bossier City local and parish governments have dedicated staff, law enforcement and judicial support to reduce and eradicate litter.

If you are not convinced that a trashy business affects the dollars that flow into your organization consider these statistics:

  • Litter clean-up costs in Louisiana cost $10 million annually and Shreveport-Bossier spends $1.4 million each year.
  • Businesses spend about $9.1 billion to keep their properties clean.
  • 36% of business development officials say litter impacts a company’s decision to locate in a community.
  • 55% of realtors think that litter reduces a property's value by 9%.
  • The environmental consequences of litter can have economic impacts on ecosystems, waterways, wildlife and possible injuries to human health.

Take pride in your business and the areas surrounding it as though company was coming and make a commitment today to support local quarterly efforts to clean up.
