The weekend following Fat Tuesday, bass fishing fans from across the country will converge on Shreveport-Bossier for the 2012 Bassmaster Classic, which returns to the Red River after record-breaking attendance in 2009. Top contenders Kevin VanDam, Edwin Evers, Gerald Swindle, Ott DeFoe, Stephen Kennedy, along with 44 other top professional bass anglers, will compete for the trophy in this year’s competition.
