Louisiana is famous for our Mardi Gras and Shreveport-Bossier hosts some of the biggest and best Mardi Gras events. Our annual parades attract more than 400,000 people who revel in the Mardi Gras fun. Carnival season in Shreveport-Bossier features extravagant masked balls, float-loading parties, live music events and more. The party officially kicks off on Saturday, Jan. 3, with the Mardi Gras 12th Night Celebration, a night of fun jointly hosted by the Krewe of Gemini and the Krewe of Centaur. The rest of the season is a mad rush of glamorous balls, celebratory parties and parades featuring floats heavy-laden with throws. Grab your bag and get ready to yell “Throw me something, Mister!" Major parades include:
Krewe of Harambee MLK Day Mardi Gras Parade - Monday, Jan. 19
Krewe of Centaur Parade - Saturday, Feb. 7
Krewe of Barkus and Meoux Mardi Paw parade - Sunday, Feb. 8
Krewe of Gemini parade - Saturday, Feb. 14
Krewe of Highland Parade - Sunday, Feb. 15

The season wraps up with the Texas Street Bridge Closing Ceremony on Fat Tuesday, February 17.

Mardi Gras Bash

Motorcoach group tours are invited to join us for a rockin’ tent party located along the route of one of the largest Mardi Gras parades in the South – the Krewe of Centaur parade on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015. Savor authentic Louisiana cuisine, dance to Cajun tunes, see outrageous Mardi Gras personalities, parades and more and be sure to catch lots of Mardi Gras beads. No one leaves empty-handed!

This event is for groups of 10 or more. Tickets are just $35 per person.
