Shreveport-Bossier COVID-19 update: Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has instituted a gradual reopening of many businesses with occupancy restrictions, enhanced sanitation, social distancing, personal protection equipment and other appropriate protection measures necessary to protect the health and safety of the people in Louisiana. Although many businesses have been approved for limited reopening, some nonessential businesses will remain closed to the public. Before you visit a business, please call to confirm that they are open, and to find out what restrictions are being enforced.
For many years, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau recognized excellence in the area’s tourism and hospitality industry at the annual P.R.I.D.E. (Proud Residents Involved in Developing the Economy) Awards. As we move into a new decade, we are reimagining the way we recognize our industry partners. Beginning in 2020, our awards will be known as "Excellence in Hospitality" Awards.
We depend on our hospitality industry partners to tell us who the superstars are. They let us know who really demonstrates excellent hospitality in our community. There is no charge associated with nominating an individual for awards consideration. We do encourage you to purchase your nominee's ticket to the banquet.
The annual award gala is traditionally held during National Travel and Tourism Week, which is the first full week of May. Due to the restrictions in place regarding COVID-19, the May 2020 event has been canceled.
