Welcome to Shreveport-Bossier:
Louisiana's Other Side

We invite you to find your fun side in Shreveport-Bossier. Around here, we work hard, play harder, eat well (and often!), and never pass up an opportunity to celebrate. Dig into our local food scene, wander through our beautiful museums, experience our live music, try your luck at one of the six riverboat casinos and horseracing track, and explore our many attractions and festivals.

Shreveport-Bossier residents Mary, Joe and Betty Bluhm, are featured on the cover of the 2020 Official Visitors’ Guide to Shreveport Bossier, and locals Jessica, Brent, Alex, and Bella Latin are featured in the Festival and Annual Events section. They were photographed at the 2019 CenterPoint Energy Red River Balloon Rally by photographer Jennifer Robison. The Centerpoint Energy Red River Balloon Rally will return to the campus of LSU Shreveport, June 12-13, 2020, with nightly balloon glows, live music, and family fun.

In the behind-the-scenes of the cover shoot video below, you’ll hear about their favorite things to do in Shreveport-Bossier. With more than 55 festivals and annual events a year, the sister cities love to celebrate everything from Mardi Gras and crawfish to jazz music and hot air balloons.
