Welcome to Shreveport-Bossier:
Louisiana's Other Side

We invite you to find your soulful side in Shreveport-Bossier. Around here, we work hard, play harder, eat well (and often!) and never pass up an opportunity to celebrate. Dig into our local food scene, wander through our beautiful museums, experience our live music, try your luck at one of the six resort-style casinos and horseracing track, and explore our many attractions and festivals. With more than 60 festivals and annual events a year, we love to celebrate everything from Mardi Gras and crawfish to jazz and hot air balloons. Whatever speaks to your soul, be sure to share it on Instagram using the hashtag #SBFunSide for a chance to win up to $500.

AJ Haynes, frontwoman of the Shreveport-based rock group Seratones, is featured on the cover of the 2019 Official Visitors’ Guide to Shreveport Bossier. She was photographed onstage at The Strand Theatre by photographer Jennifer Robison. Haynes and her bandmates draw from Shreveport-Bossier’s deep connections to rock n’ roll, soul, gospel and country to create a sound all their own.  “There’s a lot more than meets the eye here,” Haynes said of Shreveport-Bossier’s musical past and present.

In the behind-the-scenes of the cover shoot video below, you’ll hear about Shreveport-Bossier’s music scene from AJ Haynes and two other local musicians, Amanda Tamaccio of Star Chamber and songwriter Jeremy Hurst. Check out these soulful artists at various restaurants and nightclubs in Shreveport-Bossier.
